Candidates' Packet
West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship would like to welcome you to apply for a quarter-time ministry position!
We are looking for a professional minister who can help us lead ourselves, enhancing our service to one another and our world. In this position, you would serve as our first minister in many years, joining our professional staff of a Lifespan Learning Director (RE), Volunteer Coordinator / Congregational Administrator, an Office Manager, and a Rental Coordinator.
The needs our Fellowship has expressed for this position include:
-
Providing pastoral care and counseling, working with and possibly extending our existing CareNet capability which currently provides strong “parish care” (e.g., meals, transportation).
-
Strengthening our leadership, lay ministry, and conflict resolution skills by consulting with individuals and groups, providing workshops, and encouraging us to participate in PNWD and UUA-sponsored trainings.
-
Speaking occasionally at our Sunday Services, perhaps 6 times a year and frequently attending our social hour to get to know us and serve as a contact for newcomers.
- Contributing to Board and Long-Range Planning meetings in order to understand the workings of the Fellowship and become an effective participant in them.
We look forward to relying on your professional judgment and the discussions you would have with a Committee on Ministry to make the most effective use of your time.
Salary and benefits will meet UUA guidelines.
To apply, please send your resume to the Pacific Northwest District office, and the office will forward it to us.
We look forward to hearing from you!
